Diamond champs

Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association’s (SBMSA) 6U Diamonds are softball champs. The kindergarten and first grade Rummel Creek Elementary students had an undefeated regular season and playoffs. After defeating the Comets and the Bombers in the playoffs, the Diamonds met up again with the Bombers in the championship game, to win it all. The Diamonds attribute their winning season to their dedicated coaches, lots of practice and cheers from teammates in the dugout. The softball champions are (pictured, top row, from left) coaches Barrett Schick, Aaron McGuire, Troy Cook and Jay Mischon; (middle row, from left) Ashley Drum, Maddeline Bayliss, Grace McGuire, Caroline McCormick, Taylor Schick and Elliott Cook; (bottom row, from left) Payton Grigsby, Claire Mischon, Addison Ridner, Shae Smith and Reese Merchant.
