Derek Potts greeted guests, actors and directors at Eunice restaurant and at his office upstairs, with a red carpet to launch an out-of-this-world movie, The Last Astronaut. Directed by native Houstonian Shawn Welling and produced by Welling Films and Deepwater Productions, it debuted at the Houston International Film Festival. Servers in hand-painted body suits served Rock Candy martinis and cotton candy champagne at a cool astronaut ice sculpture. Michelle Welling, Bobby Hillin Jr., Cody Linn, Carrie Colbert and Lance Livingston were at the celestial celebrations.
