Bringing the heat
Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association’s White Heat 10U softball team (pictured) finished in third place, out of 21 teams, at the United States Specialty Sports Association state tournament. During the tournament, the girls played nine games, scoring a total of 72 runs and allowing only 29. Aashna Kapoor pitched two shutout games and was named most valuable player in four of the tournament games.
