Married in the mountains
Christopher Gene Campbell and Jamie Navarro met on a blind date. Christopher – a “nature guy” – and Jamie – a “city girl” – soon realized this was more than just a first date. After three years, Christopher proposed at one of Jamie’s favorite ballets, The Nutcracker. They decided to get married in Steamboat Springs, Colo., as it was the first place they vacationed together. They cherish their memories fly-fishing there. Their wedding took place during a historic snowstorm, which caused guests’ flights to be cancelled. Despite the weather, family and friends were able to be present at the wedding at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Happy parents are Edmundo and Daysi Horvilleur and Gene and Teri Campbell. Jamie is a ninth-grade English teacher at her alma mater, Memorial High School, where both of her siblings, Jean-Louis and Rene Horvilleur, attended as well. Christopher operates Oyster Bayou Hunting Club in Anahuac.
