Collin Curry and Spencer Frederickson

Memorial High School seniors Collin Curry and Spencer Frederickson (pictured, from left), delivered a U-Haul full of donated bicycles to Memorial Drive Christian Church. The church is home to Chain Reaction, a nonprofit organization that repairs gently used bicycles and recycles them into the community through homeless-assistance programs. Spencer has volunteered with Chain Reaction throughout high school. Each month, he works on bikes to remove rust and repair broken chains and spokes to get the bikes ready for their new owners. To increase donations, Spencer led two bike drives that were the most successful in Chain Reaction’s history. Together with Collin Curry and Grant Farrow (not pictured), Spencer spent hours rounding up more than 100 bikes from Memorial-area donors to deliver to Chain Reaction.
