Celebrating nature

Nature supporters gathered at The Briar Club for the Nature Discovery Center’s 25th annual Twilight Gala. The event’s theme, “Doorway to Discovery,” celebrated 30 years of the center and raised $120,000. Dinner tables contained photographs and other media representing each year of the center and Russ Pitman Park. Gala chairs were Melissa and Grant Ashlin, and executive director Bethany Foshée presented a video honoring Norma Barnes, a founding volunteer. Emcee was Tom Koch, a center neighbor and longtime friend. Pictured are (from left) Ram Allada, Mona Parikh, Ankur Kamdar, Myra Marshall, and Neil and Deepa Verma.
