Hole in one
Nearly 300 guests gathered at the River Oaks Country Club to raise more than $200,000 for The First Tee of Greater Houston’s annual youth programs. The programs are a legacy of the late Houston philanthropist and businessman Robert C. McNair, who was honored with a video and tribute by McNair Interests president Scott Schwinger. Also recognized were Sharon Sterchy, Doug Earle, Ashton Radvansky, Vanessa Gilmore, Frank Gruen, Helen Wagner, Terry Traylor and Alfonse Hubbard. Janice McNair drew the names of two First Tee participants to win golf bags and clubs formerly owned by Robert C. McNair. Pictured are (from left) Schwinger, Janice McNair and president and CEO of the Houston Golf Association Steve Timms.
