Knitting happy
Naomi Shenker had started working on creating a “happy tree” in her yard before the coronavirus pandemic hit but realized that, once everyone was at home, it would especially bring some much-needed brightness to the neighborhood. Her happy tree follows a concept called yarn bombing, which wraps an object – like a tree – with colorful yarn. She was thrilled to receive positive reactions from neighbors walking by.
