When Bellaire Little League’s (BLL) season was canceled, coach and dad David Wu (pictured, center) decided to keep his sons practicing at home. Right after celebrating at BLL’s opening ceremony, the season ended for brothers Mason and Maxwell Wu (from left). Maxwell, a third grader at Horn Elementary, was looking forward to his first kid-pitch season in the National League, and first-grader Mason was eager to start hitting off of a pitching machine. During quarantine, the boys are working on throwing accuracy and catching skills. Maxwell is also practicing pitching, to improve his ability to throw consistent strikes. After an extended practice season, the boys will be ready to start BLL Fall Ball.
