Stratford on stage
The award-winning Stratford Playhouse received 13 nominations for the 2020 Tommy Tune Awards. Director Cece Prudhomme was nominated for best director and her son, junior Matthew Prudhomme (pictured), was nominated for featured performer. The award show was presented virtually. Stratford received many awards for the musical The Drowsy Chaperone: best musical; best supporting actor, Luke Centanni; best ensemble and best costume design. The honors were especially meaningful as The Drowsy Chaperone was the last performance of 45 years in Stratford’s original theater.
