Brothers Jake Blumrosen, 12, and Levi Blumrosen, 9 (pictured), organized a car-wash fundraiser at their home to raise money for the Houston Food Bank. The brothers first volunteered at the Houston Food Bank with their moms, Amy Blumrosen and Shari Heyen, during Hurricane Harvey. Ever since, they have been regular supporters. The boys, who attend Bunker Hill Elementary and Memorial Middle School, came up with the idea to coordinate a car wash, and their moms told them they would match whatever amount they raised. The car wash brought in $1,600 and with the generous mom match, they donated $3,200. Jake is a boy scout with Troop #242 at Wheeler Baptist Church.
