WUES fifth graders
The West University Elementary School community honored their graduating fifth graders with a drive-by parade. Families decorated their cars as teachers lined up in front of the school, waving pom poms and blowing horns to congratulate the graduates. Students waved from sunroofs and windows while Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy” played from a speaker. Pictured is Alyssa Al-Uqdah, who’s off to St. John’s School next year, with her mom J.C. in the driver’s seat. See “A Special Parade: Congratulations, West U Fifth Graders" by Andria Frankfort for more parade photos.
