Art and furniture for all

The nonprofit Houston Furniture Bank celebrated the opening of the Houston Furniture Bank Art Gallery. Families receiving furniture assistance were able to select original art donated by local artists. The program took place via Facebook Live and included a juried art show and a virtual tour of Houston Furniture Bank. Featured artists, including Barbara Rubenstein, Emily Dingmann and Carol Simon, were selected by leaders in art and interior design. Each artist provided one work to be selected by a family in need and a second work for auction. Proceeds from the auction will support the No Kids on the Floor initiative.
