Sadie Schwartz

Fifth grader Sadie Schwartz became enthralled with making slime about three years ago. She started watching YouTube videos, learning about ingredients and creative items to put in slime. She decided to start her own business selling homemade slime. Her parents bought her first round of supplies, and her grandparents gave her her first booth-rental cost; since then, she’s paid for the rest of her supplies. In the past, she sold slime at Little League games, the Houston Jewish Culture Fest, a birthday party and on Facebook. During quarantine, Sadie has spent lots of time working in her “slime room.” She decided to donate proceeds to Texas Children’s Hospital; she had a positive experience there when she broke her arm and she knows so many Houstonians are sick due to coronavirus. She’s looking forward to selling slime at an in-person event in the future.
