Carnival for a cause
Sisters Scarlett, 9, and Victoria Corona, 7, organized a neighborhood carnival to raise money for Fire Station 57. Scarlett hired six other children from the neighborhood to manage stations such as face painting, a can toss and a cake walk. Scarlett and Victoria donated a $400 grocery gift card to the firefighters. In addition, they paid $200 for the snow cone truck and each of their helpers $25. Pictured are Scarlett and Victoria with firefighter Joaquin Saldivar and Captain Michael Nicoleti.
