Penny, age 3

My name is Penny, and I’m a half-longhair, half-shorthair miniature Dachshund. I was born in Bakersfield on Oct. 7, 2017, and raised in San Diego. I moved to Bellaire with my mom this past June. I’m still getting used to the heat and humidity, but I love living with my aunt and uncle, 12-year-old Dachshund siblings Maggie and Murphy. I’m the squishiest Dachshund you’ll ever meet, and I love to snuggle. Humans say I’m like a living stuffed animal. I’m a task-trained emotional support animal and hope to soon become a therapy dog who visits hospitals to share love and cuddles with those who need it most. I’m also an Instagram pupfluencer, working on my celebrity status. My mom likes to say I’m more famous than she’ll ever be. Check out my fabulous life on Instagram @onecentween.
