Ruby
Did you know that house bunnies can be trained to use a litter box just like cats? It’s true! That is how I – Ruby, a 3-year-old Netherland Dwarf – get to live cage-free in my humans’ house. I spend my evenings sleeping on a hand-me-down doll bed and my days hopping from room to room to bunny loaf. (Bunny loaf is my chill position. I tuck my legs under myself, droop my head, and relax my ears.) When my human sister gets home from school, she takes me for a ride in her doll’s pink convertible, and then I provide company for her while she does her homework. My favorite time of day is right before the humans’ bedtime. The humans gather in the family room to watch TV, and then I jump into someone’s laps for snuggles and head rubs.
