HeartGift supporters were treated to an evening with four of country music’s top songwriters. The fundraising event, held outdoors at the Memorial home of Sharalynn and Tim Fenn, was chaired by Jan Larsen (pictured, center) and featured songwriters Danny Myrick, Megan Linville, Tim James, and David Lee (from left). HeartGift provides life-saving heart surgery to children from around the world who are born with congenital heart defects. The songwriters played some of their top hits, including Danny Myrick’s “She’s Country” recorded by Jason Aldean, Megan Linville’s "This Old Town" written and recorded by Megan Linville, Tim James’ “Give it All We've Got Tonight" recorded by George Strait, and David Lee’s “Lucky Man” recorded by Montgomery Gentry

Editor’s note: The Buzz congratulates our regular Buzz About Town writer, associate editor Jordan Steinfeld, and her husband Matthew on the recent arrival of baby Sloane. Jordan is taking a short break to spend time with Sloane. In the meantime, Buzz writer Angie Frederickson is handling this column. As usual, please send your high-res photos and community news to info@thebuzzmagazines.com. Items are published on a space-available basis.

Angie Frederickson is a writer and stay-at-home mom. When those worlds collide, she has been known to hide from her children in order to meet writing deadlines.
