Headed to the Pro-Am
Austin Ye (pictured) won first place in the Texas Junior Fall Series Championship held at the Horseshoe Bay Resort in the Hill Country. He defeated 15 competitors in the 11/12 age group in the invitation-only tournament. Competing against players from all around Texas, Austin dominated on the Apple Rock golf course to win the two-day tournament by eight shots. Hole number two, a par four, was the toughest on the course, and Austin managed to finish with a birdie. With this win, he qualifies to play in a Pro-Am tournament in April. After that, he hopes to qualify for the national championship that will be broadcast on the Golf Channel on NBC.
