Sassy Huff and Taylor Ricklefsen (pictured, from left) line up for a draw during lacrosse practice with the Dragons 7/8 A team. Associated with the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association (SBMSA), Dragons lacrosse is the largest youth girls lacrosse program in the city of Houston, with three middle-school club teams. The spring season is going well, with teams navigating pandemic restrictions in order to be able to play a regular schedule. The Dragons had a strong showing at the Burning Flower tournament and then turned their attention to regular-season games. Both Taylor and Sassy have played multiple lacrosse positions, but are primarily midfielders. In addition to Dragons lacrosse, the girls also play together on a South Coast select team.
