Little kids, big hearts
Each year, the early-childhood students at The Village School participate in the K.I.S.S. (“Kids Invite Someone Special”) tradition where they invite a special someone to have lunch with them at school. The gathering wasn’t possible this year, so teachers and students decided to do something different and instead held a food drive for the Houston Food Bank. Children in Ms. Touk's Pre-K 3 class (pictured) joined the effort to help hungry children across the Houston area. The school community supported the young children’s efforts and helped them exceed their goal. In one week, the students collected two truckloads of food, totaling 1,500 pounds.
