Cinco de Mayo at Miller: Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea
Live performances are back at Miller Outdoor Theatre! Mariachi Divas, an all-female ensemble, will perform at Miller on Saturday evening. Find Covid-related policies and procedures here. The performance can also be streamed from your home. This event is free and open to the public.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Virtual Rodeo Run
The Virtual Rodeo Run kicks off this weekend. Sign up to run a 5K, 10K, the 1 Mile Kids Race, the 1932 Challenge, or the Sleep-In option (no running necessary) and participate virtually by running around your own neighborhood or trail.

Kentucky Derby Day at Sam Houston Race Park
Watch the Kentucky Derby and Quarter Horse racing at Sam Houston Race Park on Saturday afternoon. Enter into the Derby Hat Contest. First place wins $500. Face makes are highly reccommended at the Sam Houston Race Park.

47th Annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour
Explore the architectural history in Galveston on Saturday and Sunday afternoon by going on a public tour of privately owned homes. Galveston Historic Home Tours showcases a range of Galveston’s best residential architecture. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time and are $40. 

Nao Santa Maria and 1877 Elissa Tours
1877 ELISSA and visiting ship Nao SANTA MARIA will be in the Historic Seaport this weekend and be open for tours. Tour tickets can be purchased for one or both ships. Advance purchase is recommended. Tickets can be purchased online.

City of Bellaire's Drive-Through Recycling Event
The Bellaire Environmental Sustainability Board and Bellaire Public Works are hosting a drive-through recycling event on May 1, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Condit Elementary School parking lot. Accepted items include paper for shredding, scrap metal, small appliances, computer equipment, and more. See more deatils here. 

Sunday Concert Series at the Houston Botanic Garden
The Concert Series kicks off this weekend at the Houston Botanic Garden. This Sunday, come hear Zenteno Spirit (Latin jazz and funk from an iconic Houston musical family). Each Sunday Concert Series performance is included in the cost of general admission. 

Cinco de Mayo Cultural Festival
