A strong start
The Bellaire Little League (BLL) American League Yankees (pictured) are off to a great start this season. Currently tied for first place in their division, the Yankees have played 7 games so far, with a 4-2-1 record. The 11- and 12-year-old boys attend a variety of different elementary and middle schools, and many have played together before, over the years, on other BLL teams. This year’s opening-day celebration included a special message from Houston Astros player Lance McCullers Jr. The Yankees are (top row, from left) coach Eric Eddlemon, Rylan Lim, Gabriel Mejias, Miles Eddlemon, Sully Mulcahy, Dominic D’Ambra, coach Anthony D’Ambra, (bottom row, from left) Zachary Mason, Trajan Wright, Shai Rahimi, Paden Vines, and Benjamin Chapin. Not pictured: assistant coaches Neil Rahimi and Steve Lim.
