Friday Night Live Concerts: Say Girl Say
On Friday night at Discovery Green, Say Girl Say, Houston’s most eclectic singer-songwriter duo, bring their indie-pop sound to the park. This event is free and open to the public.
West U Patio Concert Series
This Friday, the West U Party at the Pavilion is back at the Colonial Park Deck. Bayou Roux will play from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Concessions will be available for purchase from Jami’s Fun Foods. Alcohol or pets will not be permitted.
An Evening with Christina Wells
On Friday night at Miller Outdoor Theatre, Christina Wells, semi-finalist from America’s Got Talent and powerhouse vocalist, performs her “love letter to Houston” in a concert of songs that brought her international attention on America’s Got Talent. This event is free and open to the public.
Birding and Boating
Take a paddling tour on Saturday morning on the bayou led by members of the Houston Audubon Young Professionals group. Along the way, discover bird species that migrate through our area. All canoe equipment will be supplied but bringing your own flotation device is recommended. This event is $50 and requires pre-registration here.
Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School at Main Street Theater
Main Street Theatre opens Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School this Saturday. This show is recommended for children in kindergarten and up. No children under 3 are admitted in the theater (including sleeping babies). Tickets are $20 to $28 and on sale now.
Keeping The Music Alive: The Ernest Walker Band
On Saturday evening, The Ernest Walker Band and Friends come to the Miller Outdoor Theatre and bring the iconic sounds of R&B and hip-hop legends, like Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, and Whitney Houston. This event is free and open to the public.
Live Music in the Plaza
Enjoy live music in the CityCentre plaza every weekend! This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, hear live music from Jon David Finney (Pop/Alternative), Zoe & Jenna (Pop/Rock), and Nathan Bonnes (Christian/Inspirational).
Houston DASH vs. Orlando Pride
On Saturday, the Houston Dash face off the Orlando Pride at BBVA Stadium.
Sugar Land Skeeters vs. OKC Dodgers
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Sugar Land Skeeters face the Oklahoma City Dodgers at Constellation Field.
