Birding and Boating

Discover Houston’s feathered friends on a canoe adventure through the urban wilderness of Buffalo Bayou! (Photo courtesy of Buffalo Bayou Partnership)

Registrants will meet at the Sabine Street boat launch for a paddling tour led by members of the Houston Audubon Young Professionals Advisory Council, who will point out flora and fauna with a focus on the hundreds of bird species that migrate through our area. The group will stop by Houston’s newest mural, Confluence, dedicated to the migratory birds of Houston’s major waterways.

All canoe equipment is supplied by Hokulele Paddling Club, but we recommend bringing your own personal flotation device, if possible.
