Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Weekend

Happy Friday! Check out these exciting events happening this weekend.

Levy Park Family Movie Night Featuring Dora and the Lost City of Gold
At 8 p.m. this Friday night, Levy Park will be showing Dora and the Lost City of Gold. No outside chairs/tables are allowed, but blankets and Levy Park furniture can be used. This event is free, and open to the public.

Miller Outdoor Theatre Summer Mixtape Series
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Miller Outdoor Theatre, music lovers are invited to enjoy this multi-genre, independent music showcase featuring some of Houston’s top musical acts. The lineup includes EL LAGO, Swimwear Department, Raycheal Winters, and Input Output. This event is free and open to the public.

Houston Restaurant Weeks 2021
Houston Restaurants Weeks begin on Sunday and runs through Labor Day weekend. Find the list of participating restaurants here. Each restaurant will donate a portion of their funds to the Houston Food Bank.

Marvel Mania
On Saturday at Children’s Museum Houston, come dressed as your favorite Marvel character and meet other heroes at the Marvel-inspired celebration all day long. This event is included with the price of admission ($12).

Bark-N-Brunch
On Saturday, bring your dog and meet some adoptable dogs at Lost & Found Restaurant. There will be on-site adoption at the event, as well as pet-friendly activities and treats. 

Skeeters vs. El Paso
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Sugar Land Skeeters face the El Paso Chihuahuas.

Houston DASH vs. Gotham FC
On Sunday, the Houston Dash face the Gotham FC at BBVA Stadium.
