A pair of blue ribbons

Blakely Eckhardt and Hannah Dezso (pictured, from left) show off their winning blue ribbons at a Fonn Villas Swim Team meet. The Fonn Villas Dolphins took on the Memorial West Sharks in a battle with the Memorial Spring Branch Swim Conference. Blakely and Hannah, first graders at Frostwood Elementary, each won their heats in the 6-and-under category for both the freestyle and backstroke events. This was the first summer swim season for both girls, and they had a great experience practicing and competing with their teammates. Fonn Villas did not participate in the swim league during 2020 but came back this summer with a team that doubled in size from the 2019 season.
