While seeking a community-service project for her Girl Scout Silver Award, Morgan Madison wanted a project that focused on helping the homeless. Morgan knew they were not able to consistently wash their hands, putting them at risk of catching and spreading germs, especially during the pandemic. So she decided to install hand-sanitizing or hand-washing stations in areas populated by the homeless community. Local nonprofit Bread of Life helped Morgan place two stations and sponsored her project. Pictured is Morgan, a ninth grader at Debakey High School for Health Professions, with Johnie Jones, executive director of Bread of Life. Morgan is a member of the Wind Catcher Community, The Church Without Walls Troop 16355.
