Sara Stribling ninja kicks in the show 10 Ways to Survive The End of the World in March, 2020.
It’s the blinding lights, the makeup, costumes, and incredible people that make me keep going back to my passion of theater. In The Briarwood School’s Theatre Department, we are currently in the process of rehearsing for our fall show titled The Gorgon Sisters, which is a dramatic comedy directed by our amazing theater teacher Michelle Edwards.
The Gorgon Sisters is about a girl named Stheno who is on a quest to bring her sister Medusa back to life. I have been a part of the Briarwood Theatre Department since freshman year and have participated in shows such as Macbeth, Greek Mythology Olympiaganza, The Crucible, 10 Ways to Survive the End of the World, and Hitchcock Radio Play.
Every year, we put on two plays - one for the fall semester and one for the spring semester. The fall shows are more serious plays, while the spring plays are often comedies. Theater has been such a big part of my life ever since I was a little girl. I found that theater was a way for me to let loose and forget all about my busy schedule.
I have made many friends in theatre. We connect over our similar interests in performing. I have taken advantage of multiple opportunities to showcase my love and passion for theater inside and outside of school. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.
