The 15th International Risotto Festival, a gourmet strolling event, will take place Nov. 14, 2-6 p.m. at the Houston Design Center. The afternoon will feature Italian foods and wines, music and entertainment, an exotic car display, activities for kids, and designer-showroom tours. Some of Houston’s top chefs will compete. Over the years, this event has raised more than $750,000 for charitable causes. This year, the charity beneficiary is the nonprofit Second Servings of Houston, which works to fight hunger and end food waste. Event chairs for the 2021 festival are Fran Zandstra, Tony Greisinger, and Jennifer Greenberg, and honorary chairs are Tom and Robin Segesta. Tickets are $100-200, free for children under 12.
