Revelry for ROCO
ROCO’s 9th annual Revelry Gala drew more than 300 to celebrate the 2021-22 concert season at the new downtown venue Post HTX. ROCO’s gala was the venue’s big debut. Chairs Shawn Stephens and Jim Jordan (pictured) worked to make the in-person event safe and memorable. ROCO Revelry raised $280,000, kicking off with a live performance from the chamber orchestra of excerpts from their opening concert conducted by Mei-Ann Chen. The performance was followed by dinner and conversation with ROCO musicians. The event honored Mike Stude, an arts advocate, and Rick Lowe, founder of Project Row Houses, received the Wildcatting in the Arts Award. ROCO’s 17th season is called “Musical Threads.” Performances will take place in a variety of venues across Houston, including Asia Society Texas Center, Holocaust Museum Houston, Czech Center Museum Houston, and more.
