Marrying Magaziner

Rachel Levy and Ryan Magaziner married Nov. 6 at Hotel ZaZa Museum District surrounded by family and friends. Rachel and Ryan, graduates of The Emery/Weiner School, are high-school sweethearts. One of their former teachers, Rabbi Maccabee Avishur, once told the two: “You better invite me to your wedding one day.” Little did Rabbi Avishur know that he would be the one marrying them. Emery alumni in attendance (including this Buzz staffer and proud big sister) were moved to see their former teacher, and guests were touched by the meaningful, personalized ceremony. The wedding was planned by Rachel’s mom, Syma Levy of Oulala! What an Event, who kept the decor a surprise until Rachel and Ryan entered the room for their first dance. Rachel and Ryan’s dogs, Annie and Henry, didn’t make an appearance during the wedding weekend but were there in spirit.
