Community QB
Loretta and David Elledge (pictured) were honored with a 2021 Texans BHP Community Quarterback finalist award for helping the Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) alleviate the effects of poverty in Houston. The BHP Community Quarterback awards, developed through a partnership between United Way of Greater Houston, the Houston Texans, and BHP, recognize “individuals who have shown true volunteer leadership in their communities and have gone above and beyond in their volunteer roles,” according to the United Way. Nine Community Quarterback Award finalists each received $5,000 gifts in their name to their respective organizations. The honors were presented during a pre-game ceremony at the Dec. 5 Texans game. For more than 20 years, the Elledges have volunteered in various roles within CCSC. See ccschouston.org for volunteer opportunities.
