Second Baptist School eighth-grade girls basketball team

The Second Baptist School (SBS) eighth-grade girls basketball team (pictured) won first place at a recent middle-school tournament held at The Kinkaid School. During the weekend tournament, the Lady Eagles were undefeated against tough competition. SBS assistant athletic director Chandace Tryon credits the team’s success to a strong offense and great coaching leadership. The winning basketball players and coaches are (from left) coach Kendyll Garvin, Caroline Lapuerta, Elizabeth Wise, Jacey Clover, Grace Wehring, Mady Schmidt, Casey Krueger, and coach Jeremy Lewis.
