Shelbie Ghiotto’s first-grade class

Rummel Creek Elementary School rang in the Year of the Tiger with a Lunar New Year display. RCE parents Terri Le, Kimberly Hwang, Vivien Chang, Tannia Maya Jimenez, and Jenny Wang put the decorative and symbolic display together. Some students brought red envelopes with chocolate coins inside to share with their class, as it’s tradition to hand out red envelopes filled with money to bring luck and prosperity for the new year. Pictured is Shelbie Ghiotto’s first-grade class in front of the display.
