Beware of Sharks

This summer, the Memorial West Community Club Sharks swim team had 45 swimmers compete amongst 12 other teams at the annual Meet of Champs held at the SBISD Natatorium. The Meet of Champs is associated with the Memorial Spring Branch Swim Conference, made up of neighborhood pools that are in the Memorial and Spring Branch areas. Several swimmers competed in individual events as well as relays including teammates (pictured, from left) William Daniel, Truett Williams, Adam Bunting, and Winn Barrow. The Wilchester Elementary School students posed with their fourth-place medals in the 7/8 Boys Freestyle Relay. The Sharks consisted of 150 swimmers, coached by older swimmers from the team. Head Coach for the Sharks is Todd Hunter.
