Gators win

In a nail biter of a game, Grace School Gators won their Varsity Football home opener against the Western Academy Green Jays. Pictured is seventh grader Briggs Nieman, who plays on special teams. The game had a final score of 14-7. It was no doubt an exciting win; Coach Ron Graves and his team beat the defending conference champions who were undefeated last year. Highlights included when Michael Luna (#20) ran for a 60-yard touchdown and Haden McCarty (#2), inside linebacker, recovered a fumble and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown for the Gators.
