International Quilt Festival Houston
Join more than 55,000 quilting fans for a packed schedule of classes, exhibits, networking, shopping, guest speakers, and more at the International Quilt Festival held at George R. Brown Convention Center. The festival takes place Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. On Sunday, the festival closes at 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, and free for age 10 and under.
Asia Society’s Night Market
On Friday from 6-10 p.m., Asia Society Texas' all-ages festival will celebrate Houston's AAPI communities through food, arts, and activities. This year, enjoy the addition of eats and treats of South Asia with Bollywood dance performances, a Diwali-inspired funfair, and more. The night market is held at Asia Society Texas, and is free and open to the public.
Día de los Muertos at Children's Museum Houston
Children’s Museum Houston will be magically transformed into a colorful Land of the Dead, bursting with offerings of Mariachi, “sugar skulls,” and marigolds in celebration of El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Events, including music, art, and meet-and-greets, will take place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Events are included with $15 general admission.
Puptopia Houston
H-Town will turn into Pup-Town on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Discovery Green. Furry friends (and their humans) will be welcomed into a doggy haven. Highlights include dog shows on the main stage, a PAWground with fun photo opps, the K9 Lounge with drinks and eats for dogs and humans, the "SPAW" (peticure and pawssage); a Pupformance agility course, vendors, pup-centric activities, and more. Tickets are $35 each.
10th Annual Houston Margarita Festival
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Houston Margarita Festival on Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. at Water Works Park. This festival will be full of 'ritas, live music, and a range of entertainment. This event is 21+, and tickets start at $20.
Champion Energy Presents Movies At Miller: The Mighty Ducks
Watch classic hockey movie The Mighty Ducks (1992), at Miller Outdoor Theatre this Saturday at 7 p.m. The Mighty Ducks tells the story of an egotistical young lawyer, Gordon Bombay, sentenced to coach a kids’ hockey team made up of misfits. This event is free.
2022 Houston Dia de los Muertos Parade
Houston's second annual Dia de los Muertos parade and festival will include live music, a parade procession, concessions, fun arts & crafts, and more. The festival takes place this Saturday from 2-10 p.m., beginning and ending at Sam Houston Park. The parade will take place from 7-8 p.m. This event is open to the public.
Houston Diwali
Celebrate India's Festival of Lights this Saturday at Houston Diwali, held at West Oaks Mall. Houston Diwali will be held from 6-11 p.m. This festival will include live entertainment, dancing, a bazaar, rides, and street food. The night will end with a fireworks display. Entrance and parking are free.
Tents in Town: The Ultimate Urban Campout
Patrons for Bellaire Parks is hosting its 13th annual “Tents in Town” Ultimate Urban Campout this Saturday at The Great Lawn at Bellaire Town Square. This year’s “Ultimate Urban Campout” includes activities for kids of all ages, from balloon animals, to face painting and hula hoop contests. Starting at 3 p.m. Saturday and ending Sunday morning, there will be fun activities, giant inflatables, and a climbing wall. A family of four campsite is $150. Each additional adult ticket is $40, and each additional child is $20.
50th Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book & Arts Festival
Celebrate 50 years of the Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book & Arts Festival. This Sunday, Jennifer Grey will discuss her memoir Out of the Corner from 6-8 p.m. at Congregation Beth Israel. This will be the final event of the festival. Tickets are $15 each.
