Sunshine for kids

Supporters of Sunshine Kids gathered on the club level at Minute Maid Park to celebrate 40 years of providing fun opportunities for children with cancer. Chairman of the Sunshine Kids board Bret Sanders and Laurie Sanders (pictured, from left) greeted guests at the exciting evening that raised more than $400,000. Fox 26’s Melissa Wilson emceed the evening and shared the personal story of her son Caleb, now 15, being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment, and how he benefited from the programs with Sunshine Kids. The evening honored Sunshine Kids National Spokesman and Baseball Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, his wife Patty, their sons Cavan and Conor, and daughter Quinn.
