International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Today – the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau – is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Take time to commemorate the millions of lives lost. Holocaust Museum Houston is offering free admission today.
27th Texas Lunar Festival
Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at this festival, hosted by ITC Cultural & Education Foundation at Southern News Group, Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
POST Flea Market
Shop local goods – original art, jewelry, and more – at POST Houston’s first flea market of 2023, Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Lunar New Year 2023 at Asia Society Texas
Asia Society Texas celebrates the Lunar New Year with a free, all-ages festival on Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.! Ring in the Year of the Rabbit with performances, art and craft activities, and food inspired by Lunar New Year traditions across Asia. The free event includes a variety of fun activities including lion dancing, interactive story times, and ticketed music and dance performances by Huaxing Arts Group. The event is free, but RSVPs are requested.
Houston Cougars vs. Cincinnati Bears
Cheer on the Coogs as they face the Cincinnati Bears at UH campus on Saturday, 1:15 p.m.
Holocaust Remembrance Day Concert
Apollo Chamber Players and Harris County Public Library reflect on Holocaust Remembrance Day with a program of multicultural new music by Sephardic scholar Isabelle Ganz and Rice University faculty composer Richard Lavenda. Guest collaborators include vocalist Ceclia Duarte, hailed by the NY Times as a "creamy voiced mezzo soprano", percussionist Jesus Pacheco, and legendary bassoonist Benjamin Kamins, former Principal of the Houston Symphony and professor at The Shepherd School of Music. This event will take place on Saturday, 2-3 p.m., at the West University Community Center.
Asia Society Lunar New Year 2023 at The Galleria
Asia Society Texas will bring special Lunar New Year festivities to The Galleria (Level One, between Nordstrom and Macy’s) this Saturday, 3-4 p.m. and Sunday, 12-5 p.m. There will be arts and crafts, games, and performances.
Monster Jam
Monster Jam returns to NRG this weekend full of action to wow the whole family. Tickets start at $20.
HTX Market at Evelyn's Park
Bellaire Open Air, hosted by HTX markets, takes place at Evelyn’s Park on Sunday, 12-4 p.m. Browse goodies from local artisans and small businesses.
