Noah’s House remembers Doug Wildenradt

The Buzz Magazines is saddened to learn of the passing of Douglas “Doug” Wayne Wildenradt, who was featured on the cover of the Bellaire Buzz’s December 2019 issue. Doug is remembered for his gentle spirit and infectious smile by his family and friends, as well as by communities he impacted for many years. He is survived by his sister Amy Spencer, her husband Joe, and their sons John, Graham, and Wilson; his sister Ann Voss, her husband Jim, and their children Grace and Ben. A 30-year charter resident of Noah’s House, an independent living community for adults with intellectual disabilities, and a dishwashing employee of Memorial Hermann Health System for 38 years, Doug touched many lives and brightened countless days. One of Doug’s supervisors called him the “hardest working man alive,” and Doug took pride in a job well done. During his 66 years of life, Doug was deeply committed to his family and treasured time together for holidays, graduations, and vacations. He will be especially missed on Christmas mornings when he played the role of Santa Claus and distributed gifts to the family. Doug would be proud of his nephew, Ben Voss, who has taken over the tradition. Gifts of remembrance for Doug can be made to Noah’s House (noahshousetx.org).
