Watermelon Festival at Froberg’s
Bring the family to Froberg’s Farm this weekend to celebrate the Watermelon Festival! The festival includes food, family-friendly activities, ring throwing, and lots of watermelon eating. You can also meet the Watermelon Queen on Saturday and Sunday, and see live music from Junior Gordon on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. This festival runs today through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Entry is $3.
Summer Nights at the MFAH
Tonight, from 6 to 9 p.m., you can enjoy a cocktail, listen to live music, chat with curators, and spend time up close with works of art at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. This event is a special opportunity to experience the MFAH without the crowds. Tickets are $40 and include one complimentary drink and access to all exhibitions.
Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners
The Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners will play in a four-game series at Minute Maid Park. The series began yesterday. Tonight’s game starts at 7:10 p.m., followed by Saturday’s game at 6:15. The last game will be Sunday afternoon at 1:10. Ticket prices will vary from day to day, but resale tickets start at around $25.
Houston Dash vs. Chicago Red Stars
Tonight at 7:30 p.m., the Houston Dash will play against the Chicago Red Stars in a NWSL match at the BBVA Compass stadium. Ticket prices start at around $10.
Booker T. Jones at Miller Outdoor
Soul musician Booker T. Jones will be performing at the Miller Outdoor Theatre tonight at 8:30 p.m. Booker T. Jones is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the recipient of a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award. You can get tickets for the free performance here.
Dynamo FC vs. Sporting Kansas City
The 7th ranked Houston Dynamo will take on the 10th ranked Sporting Kansas City for a match on Saturday at Shell Energy Stadium. The game will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start around $20.
The Lawn at Memorial City’s “Memorial Market”
This Saturday, head over to the Memorial City Mall Lawn to shop from award-winning vendors including organic veggies and fruits, grass-fed meats, Keto/gluten free options, fresh-field Douglas strawberries, and more. This delightful shopping experience also features a complimentary tote, live music, face painting, and complimentary snow cones from Unicorn Snow Cones while supplies last. This free event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
H-Town Market at POST
This Saturday, POST will be hosting the official H-Town Market in their X and Z atriums. The market will showcase more than 200 vendors, including artists, boutiques, sneakers, vintage clothing, jewelry, skincare, and more. There will also be a live DJ, food, and treats. The market is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Dumpstaphunk at Miller Outdoor Theatre
On Saturday, New Orleans’ funk and jam band Dumpstaphunk is performing at Miller Outdoor Theatre. For the past 17 years, Dumpstaphunk has earned its reputation as the most well-regarded next-generation New Orleans live powerhouse. The free performance begins at 8:30 p.m. You can get tickets here.
