Houston World Series of Dog Shows
Watch as talented four-legged friends compete in a series of events at NRG during the Houston World Series of Dog Shows. The beloved event kicked off on Thursday and continues through Sunday. Dogs will compete for the “Best in Show” title. Tickets are $15; free for ages 12 and under.
Women’s World Cup Watch Party: Match 1
Join Social Beer Garden for a watch party for Match 1 of the Women's World Cup, USA vs. Vietnam, tonight, 8 p.m. Free to attend.
Asia Society Texas’ Grand Opening Weekend of “Explore Asia” Exhibition
Asia Society Texas is holding a grand opening celebration weekend of Explore Asia, Friday-Sunday. The new, permanent, immersive exhibit focuses on Asian art and culture. The grand opening weekend will include free access to the new exhibition, along with lion dances and a variety of family-friendly activities. Through an immersive journey to China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam, guests of all ages can magically travel across time and space on a virtual bullet train, learn about delicious meals and treats (and where to find them in Houston), take our stage by participating in a drumming experience, and more! General admission is free all weekend; timed tickets for drumming experience are $6/person.
Brain Power at Children's Museum Houston
Flex your brain on Saturday at Children’s Museum Houston. Activities include drawing your favorite videogame character(s) as UH students project your brain activity; music therapy workshops; mindful yoga; interacting with therapy animals; and more fun. Open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; general admission.
Sugar Land Space Cowboys: Orion's Kids Day
Cheer on the Sugar Land Space Cowboys as they take on Albuquerque on Sunday evening, which is also Orion's Kids Day. Highlights for kids include a pregame catch on the field, player autographs, and postgame Kids Run the Bases experience. And don’t forget: Constellation Field offers a playground area with a splash pad. The gates open at 4:30 p.m. and first pitch is at 6:05 p.m. The Family Four Pack Sunday promotion includes four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for $44 (use code FAMILYFOUR). Individual tickets start at $9 for the Grassland area.
Trae Tha Truth presents Funny By Nature Comedy Festival
The Traeday Funny By Nature Comedy Festival is back for its 15th anniversary, White Oak Music Hall, Downstairs, Sunday. The lineup includes Tony Rock, Dat Dam Monty, Moneybag Mafia, Slink Johnson, Rambo, plus a special surprise guest. Expect nonstop laughter. The show is for all ages. Doors open at 7 p.m.
