Royal watch party

Ashley Pilkenton, Robin Szescila, James McLennan, Tanya Macedo, and Kara Shane (pictured, from left and flanked by “royals”) joined 200 other Anglophiles at Houston’s largest coronation watch party. Pomp and circumstance were on full display at Royal Oaks Country Club where guests watched the crowning of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The fundraising event was hosted by the British American Foundation of Texas and the British American Business Council, and will provide tuition support for gifted, financially challenged Texas college students including a unique learning experience in the UK. Partygoers were encouraged to wear their British patriotic best, which was cleverly seen in everything from Union Jack-themed socks and ties to scarves and handbags, while they watched a delayed broadcast on multiple screens and enjoyed brunch, mimosas, games, and a raffle.
