Official recognition
In a recent football game between Memorial Middle School and Spring Oaks Middle School, players stood on the field with their coaches to show their heartfelt appreciation for the football officials who keep the game fair and exciting. The officials are (pictured in their referee uniforms, from left) Carleton Cole, Eric Rosar, and Ron Gonder. Memorial Middle School players Sam Dunlap, Hudson Good, and Jack Stephenson (pictured in orange jerseys, from left), and their coaches Chris Vaughn (back row, in baseball cap), and Osy Ezeilo (back row, in black hat) stood with some of the Panthers players, Jordy Alfaro (at left, in white jersey) and Dominique Reyes (at right, in white jersey) and coaches, Tim Quick (pictured, in purple shirt, at left), and Art Nevarez (not pictured) in a moment of sportsmanship. They gave recognition to the hardworking officials who make each game possible, ensuring fair play, safety, and a positive experience. For these teams, the true victory lies not just in the score but in the lessons learned and the bonds forged on the field.
