Simon
A kind, beautiful lady found me hiding in a hedge near Tanglewood and named me Simon. She loved me a lot, but eventually had to give me up. But my new life is good, with 24/7 live entertainment thanks to a glass door, through which I can see lizards and birds. I like being chased through the house. I also like to scratch carpeting, so my new owner has placed defensive rugs in strategic locations, and bought me a sisal scratching post. I just use the latter to scratch my face; that’s what it’s for, right? He also put this cat platform in his living room, even though the thing is pretty ugly. He says a cat needs its own elevated spot, in a social location. When I rub my head on the back of his hand, he always says, “I know you love me, Simon; what’s not to love?”
