Leaders in agriculture

Bellaire High School’s (BHS) Future Farmers of America (FFA) program is off to a great start this school year with a new teacher, newly elected officers, and new student members. Teacher Philip Pacia, BHS FFA officers Darius Armstead, Leah Dawlett, GG Gosda, Julia Richardson, Camryn Suminski, and Ainsley Pinkerton, and teacher Vanessa Brossman-Collier (pictured, from left) are already hard at work leading the organization’s efforts to strengthen agricultural education. Pacia, who came to BHS from Davenport High School in New Braunfels, where he taught agriculture and opened a construction program for students, is now teaching BHS students principles of agriculture, livestock production, and advanced animal science. Brossman-Collier leads instruction for floral design, small-animal management, and equine science.
