Un magnifique soirée

Preston and Allison Schulze, Orbit, Lisa and Mark Jakel, Emily George, Lindy Sauer, Caitlin Rance, Lauren Sudderth, Julie Sudduth, JP Ramirez, Christina Jeffcoat, and Victoria Villarreal were among the 300 guests at the 8th annual Storybook Gala hosted by the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Young Professionals Group. Around the World with Madeline, chaired by Grace and Tom Gosnell, Courtney and Zac Harmon, and Victoria Villarreal, was held at Union Station at Minute Maid Park and raised more than $225,000 for childhood literacy initiatives. Emcee Matt Rogers welcomed guests to the event that featured a few of the places beloved character Madeline traveled in the well-known children’s books, including Paris, France and Texas. Guests mingled among live Madeline characters, a scaled-down Alamo replica, a pair of 5-foot-tall custom cowboy boots, and a 14-foot-tall Eiffel Tower.
