Igniting potential

Colin and Sangita Pogge (pictured) will chair Teach for America (TFA) Houston’s upcoming Ignite Potential luncheon on Feb. 21 at the Briar Club. The couple has been involved with Teach for America since 2005 when Colin became a first-year TFA Houston corps member and Sangita, on spring break from medical school, was a guest “science teacher” in Colin’s fifth-grade classroom. As a corps member, Colin taught fifth grade at HISD’s Judson Robinson Jr. Elementary. After teaching with TFA, he attended The University of Texas School of Law, and he has been a recognized Houston trial attorney for more than a decade. He now serves on the TFA Houston advisory board.
