113th Annual Mardi Gras! Galveston
The third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the country kicks off today. Mardi Gras! Galveston includes parades, live entertainment, food vendors, tons of beads, and much more. Musical headliners include Gin Blossoms, Eli Young Band, and Duelo. Dates are: Feb. 2-4, 9-11, and 13, 2024. Houston Home & Garden Show
Shop for home-related products and services, find inspiration, enjoy informative presentations, and more at the Houston Home & Garden Show this weekend at NRG Park. The show kicks off today 11 a.m. Tickets are $10/adults; $8 for senior; kids ages 16 and under are free.
Brick Fest Live
Lego fans, you won’t want to miss Brick Fest Live at NRG Center this Saturday and Sunday. The interactive exhibit includes over a million Lego bricks on display and ready for play! View life-size models, engage with hands-on attractions, build a Guinness world-record setting mosaic, and browse hard-to-find Lego merch. The show takes place Saturday starting at 9 a.m. and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. Tickets range from $24.99-39.99; children 2 and under are free.
Kemah Boardwalk's Mardi Gras Celebration
Kemah Boardwalk presents a lively Mardi Gras Celebration on Saturday with live music, kids’ crafts, and the Yachty Gras Boat Parade. Festivities take place 12-9 p.m. and the event is free to attend.
Winter Nights at the MFAH
Every Saturday this February, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, presents Winter Nights at the MFAH, the winter edition of the popular Summer Nights at the MFAH series that took place last July and August. Guests will enjoy exclusive access to all galleries and exhibits during a time that is typically closed to the public. Enjoy a cocktail, live music, and art. Curators will be on hand to share their expertise. Tickets are free for MFAH members and $40 for non-members. The Winter Nights series kicks off this Saturday, 6-9 p.m., and takes place every Saturday in February.
Lunar New Year Celebration at POST
POST is welcoming the Year of the Dragon on Sunday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. The Lunar New Year celebration is hosted by the Ho Family of the House of Ho on HBO Max. Shop food and arts from vendors at a pop-up market, enjoy lion dances, and more cultural activities.
ReelArt Opening Reception for ReelAbilities Houston
View art created by artists from Celebration Company, an entrepreneurial employment program for adults with disabilities, and featured artist Grace Fisher. BLCKMARKET'S BLCK History Now Festival
BLCKMARKET's “BLCK History Now!” festival takes place on Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., at Karbach Brewing Co. In partnership with 97.9 The Box & Majic 102.1, there will be local vendors, delicious food trucks, a live DJ from 97.9 The Box, and more. The event is family-friendly and free to attend.
